THE RIGHT TOOL. A BETTER BUILD. Independent thinking for UK tool buyers
Our approach
CHUCK & BIT / OUR APPROACH

Clear about retailer links.

You should be able to understand how a buying website earns money before following a recommendation.

Where things stand

There are currently no affiliate tracking links, paid placements or live retailer offers on Chuck & Bit. The site provides educational guidance and comparisons of tool types. There is no charge to read it.

What an affiliate link means

If we introduce affiliate partnerships, a retailer or network may pay us a commission when an eligible purchase follows one of our links. The programme sets the attribution, eligibility and commission terms. A link does not guarantee that a sale is recorded or that the offer is right for every buyer.

Make the relationship visible

Future affiliate relationships should be identified clearly near the relevant content and links. Paid links should use the appropriate sponsored link relationship. A general disclosure page is useful context, but it is not a substitute for making advertising identifiable where a reader encounters it.

Price and availability need checking

A retailer controls its own prices, stock, delivery, warranty and returns terms. Offers can change, and kits with similar names can contain different items. If retailer comparisons are introduced, they should show the exact item and a last-checked time; always confirm the details before purchasing.

Editorial decisions come first

A useful guide should explain the trade-offs and recommend an option only when there is evidence for it. Affiliate availability should not determine the verdict. Any sponsored placement should be labelled separately so a reader can understand the relationship.

No hidden signup

The current site has no newsletter signup or analytics integration. Adding new services or revenue features will require the relevant information and policies to be updated. You can read the guides and glossary without creating an account.
