CHUCK & BIT / CORRECTIONS

Something wrong?
Help us put it right.

If a guide has an error, a source has changed or a calculator gives an unexpected result, tell us what you found.

How to report a problem

Use the contact form or email [email protected]. Put “Correction” and the page title in the subject if you can.

Please include:

  • The page URL and the sentence, table entry or link that needs attention.
  • What you believe is wrong and the correction you suggest.
  • A relevant source URL, ideally the current manufacturer documentation or official guidance.
  • The full tool, battery, charger or kit code where the issue concerns a particular product.

A source is helpful, but you can still flag an unclear explanation or broken page without one. Please avoid sending payment details, passwords or other sensitive information.

For calculator issues

Tell us which calculator you used, the figures you entered, the result shown and what you expected instead. Include whether an ownership checkbox was selected, where applicable. Your browser and device can help identify a display or interaction problem.

Calculator entries are not sent with a correction automatically. Copy only the values needed to reproduce the problem; example figures are fine when they demonstrate the same issue.

What a useful correction establishes

A changed retailer listing may describe a different kit rather than a mistake in the tool specification. A manufacturer may revise a model or use a different measurement basis. Exact identifiers, document versions and dates help distinguish those cases.

We may need more information before deciding what to change. A report does not by itself establish a technical claim or a product’s suitability for a particular task.

How changes should be explained

For a substantive factual correction, the relevant page should explain the change when that context affects the reader’s understanding or buying decision. Minor spelling, formatting and broken-link repairs may be made without a separate correction note.

If a claim cannot be supported, it may need to be qualified or removed while the evidence is checked. A date change should reflect the work actually done rather than imply a complete review of the page.

If the issue affects safety

Do not rely on a general guide to decide whether a tool or installation is safe. Consult the exact manufacturer instructions and appropriate qualified help. A message to this website is not an emergency-reporting service or a substitute for product support.

Your message and details

The privacy notice explains how contact messages are handled. You do not need to include your home address or order details to report an editorial error.
