MAKE THE NUMBERS USEFUL

Labour time and crew duration calculator

Choose one work unit, such as square metres or items, and use it for both quantity and productivity. Enter productivity per person-hour, not the output of a whole crew. Then enter how many people can work in parallel and their working hours per day.

How the calculation works

Person-hours = quantity ÷ productivity per person-hour. Crew working hours = person-hours ÷ people working in parallel. Equivalent working days = crew working hours ÷ working hours per person per day.

Use the result with care

This assumes uniform productivity and work that can be divided among the entered people without delay. It does not include activity dependencies, access conflicts, setup, drying or curing, inspections, breaks, travel or non-working days unless those are already reflected in your assumptions. It is not a critical-path programme or a guaranteed completion time. No trade productivity rates are supplied.
