MAKE THE NUMBERS USEFUL

Consumable pack cost calculator

Compare two packs of the same suitable consumable, such as identical sanding discs or driver bits. Enter how many items you expect to need and how many usable matching items each pack supplies.

How the calculation works

Packs required = required items ÷ usable items per pack, rounded up. Spend = packs required × pack price. Leftovers = purchased items − required items. Unit cost = pack price ÷ usable items per pack.

Use the result with care

Use only items of the required size, fitting and specification in each count; a mixed assortment may contain fewer useful items than its total piece count. The comparison assumes equal suitability and life per item, excludes delivery and does not estimate wear or how many consumables your job needs.
