MAKE THE NUMBERS USEFUL

Material coverage and delivered cost comparison

Enter the measured net area after openings and exclusions, then the effective coverage and price of each option. Both products must already be suitable for the same intended use. Choose your own extra allowance; none is recommended here.

How the calculation works

Planned coverage = measured net area × (1 + allowance ÷ 100). For each option: packs = planned coverage ÷ effective coverage per pack, rounded up; purchased coverage = packs × pack coverage; surplus = purchased coverage − planned coverage; total = packs × pack price + delivery.

Use the result with care

Use documented effective coverage that reflects the intended coats, layers, joints or overlaps for each product. This comparison does not plan layouts, pattern matching, cuts or reuse of offcuts. The same allowance is applied to both options; it is your assumption, not a material recommendation. Lower delivered spending does not establish better quality, performance or suitability. Check actual order terms and use the same price basis on both sides.
