MAKE THE NUMBERS USEFUL

Linear stock quantity calculator

Enter the combined finished length needed and one available stock length, both in metres. This totals material length; it does not solve a cutting list or confirm that individual pieces fit.

How the calculation works

Planned length = combined required length × (1 + allowance ÷ 100). Minimum stock count by total length = planned length ÷ stock length, rounded up. Remaining total length = purchased length − planned length.

Use the result with care

This is a lower bound by total length, not a purchase-ready cutting plan. For example, multiple required pieces may not fit into the stock lengths even when their total fits. Saw cuts, end trimming, unusable offcuts, joint positions and individual piece lengths are not modelled. Verify a cutting layout before ordering.
